The WSJ is reporting that Tyler Perry purchased a private island off the coast of the Bahamas in 2009. Tyler’s new island is called White Bay Cay and is just over 25 acres in size. He also purchased a neighboring seven acre island. He has started building a tropical/Balinese-style house along with several bungalows for guests.
The string of over 300 islands off the coast of Florida are largely uninhabited with very little nightlife, no airports, infrastructure or restaurants. So what’s the allure to these islands? Privacy and the beauty of clear blue water and coral reefs on limestone plateaus.
Building homes on these remote islands can be a challenge since there’s no electricity or running water. Housing has to be built for the work crews. Everything has to be imported to the island. A typical project can take up to 2.5 years to complete.

My parents were born in Honduras Central Amer.My dad was from a small island in Honduras called Aguan. This island hadn’t been touched by what we would call civilization untill the late 1990′s.There was no electricity, or hot water. you used an out house to release and the river or well to bathe.Talking about going back in time makes anyone very, very humble especially when your used to modern convieniences.I think it would sure give you the opportunity to commune with GOD and his creations.I recently visited the island of St.Thomas. OMG the must beautiful crystal blue waters and white sandy beaches.Heaven on earth.Tyler I ain’t hating .You are Blessed and certainly are worthy of the blessings.All I can say is “Can my family and I be guest? continue to make us laugh and learn life lessons through the body of works you’ve created.Congrats Tyler and Let the Lord continue to use you.
Tyler We all need to say is to learn from the experiences that you have brought to us and is teaching us, that no matter how bad it looks or gets that we all have to continue to do what is right and letting nothing stand in our way, our goals we have for ourself. Can only be destroyed by ourself if we want to accomplish anything to stay focus and when the storms come to prepare ourself that we need to put our combat boots, sweat wristbands headbands and to fight for what we want as we have not heard the bell ring and the fight is not over, in other words we are not QUITTERS is not in yours or anyones vocbulary, continue to let GOD use you as he sent you to TEACH!! I am truly blessed to see the accomplishment you have achieved you are teaching us that if i can do it anyone can!!!
